The Westralia Hotel - Photo SLWA

The Westralia Hotel at Kamballie was a very busy hotel for nearly 60 years. This picture was taken March 1963 which was a month before the hotel closed. A very well known goldfields identity the late Rex Mitchell, is standing outside the hotel next to his old Chevie Car The townsite has long gone with the expansion of the Super Pit and the old Kamballie Railway Station although still standing is to suffer the same fate shortly.

KAMBALLIE RAILWAY STATION in March 2003. Sitting all forlorn and derelict and in imminent danger of being lost forever into the Super Pit. Once one of the busiest railway stations in WA on the Boulder Loopline Railway circuit.
