Register -Adelaide SA- 20 October 1906, page 8 - SUSPECTED MURDER WOMAN'S DEATH
Horton Sibley. whose name was prominently associated with the death of Mrs.Georgina Hussey which occurred at Day Dawn on the night of September 16 was arrested at Nannine to-day on a charge of wilful murder. Sibley and the deceased woman had lived together as husband and wife for two months prior to the tragic occurrence. The arrest was not altogether unexpected, as the evidence adduced at the inquest, at which a verdict that Mrs. Hussey died from strychnine poisoning was returned, ended in the direction that the poison was self-administered, but it is doubtful that Sibley 's arrest would have been made were it not for the fact that it is understood further evidence bearing upon the unfortunate woman's death has been secured by Detective Mann, who this morning swore information against Sibley of having wilfully murdered Georgina Hussey. Sibley has been under police surveillance since the jury returned the open verdict.
