Centre Mr W. Chown snr taken in Rosedale Victoria beforte coming to Western Australia. It is believed that
Mr Chown may have bank rolled the brothers on their trip to the west.

Arthur and William remained in the west. Arthur never married and died at Sunset homes.  
William married and had one daughter. He committed suicide in 1916 as the business was not prospering and is buried in the Bardoc cemetery. (see cemetery)

Jim, Alf and Henry all came back to Rosedale. Alf inherited the family farm and his grandson, Tony, is the current owner.Henry suffered a bad leg accident while at Bardoc and eventually committed suicide due to the pain. He was not married.Jim married and had one daughter - who did not marry and this branch died out.  This information was supplied by Peter Robinson who is the Gr Nephew of the Smith Brothers.
